Rescue Diver Course
So you’ve learned how to dive, about different types of diving activities and gained some experience – now it’s time to focus on other divers and at the same time give yourself a great confidence boost. The Rescue course teaches you how to be the kind of buddy that we all want to have. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Although this course is serious, it is also extremely enjoyable and quite tiring!
The course covers:
Self-rescue and diver stress
Dive first aid
Emergency management and equipment considerations
Review of course and exam
Swimming and non-swimming assists
Panicked diver response
Underwater problems
Missing diver procedures
Surfacing the unconscious diver
Inwater artificial respiration
Egress (exits)
First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
Dive accident scenarios
Course pre-requisites are PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent and 20 logged dives. A certification requirement is that the student has a recent (valid) first aid qualification such as the PADI EFR certification.
Included in our course price of £325 including your manual and certification. Note that equipment hire is available at our student training rate of £20 per day.
