PADI Open Water Course

The internationally recognized PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular scuba course in the world. It is a qualification for life and will qualify you and a buddy to dive independently of supervision in conditions similar to or better than those you were trained in. The course consists two distinctive parts

  1. Knowledge development or theory and Pool sessions (known as the Referral)
  2. Open water dives (known as the Completion).

Open Water Referral

The popular option for people who want to learn to dive but do not wish to spend valuable holiday time in the classroom and pool. All of the academic and pool training is carried out at North East Dive. This leaves you free to complete the four dives necessary for qualification at any PADI centre worldwide. To enrol in an open water course you need to be over 10 years of age, be comfortable in the water and fill in a medical statement.

The course will include the manual, dive tables, adventure logbook and the use of all equipment.

Completing the Course

Open Water Completion Dives

To finish the Open Water Diver course you need to complete four dives where you will perform some of the skills that you have mastered in the pool. You will do this whilst enjoying the thrill of diving in an open water environment at a local dive site.
