In an accident basic first aid training can mean the difference between life and death. Minutes are precious prior to the arrival of emergency medical services. An Emergency First Aid course gives you the training and confidence to deal with most injuries you may be lucky enough to come across. Lucky for the victim that is!

This intensive course takes approximately 8 hours - either as a single day or broken into two or four evenings, depending on demand. It is not specifically for divers, and covers much more than just diving injuries, including the requirements for first aid in the workplace (maybe your employer could pay for it?). It is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive as a "designated person" status.

Use of course workbooks and videos provide the knowledge, your classmates and a CPR mannequin provide the practice to develop your skills, and the instructor provides guidance, encouragement and advice.

There are no specific entry requirements, the course is open to all divers, whatever their age, experience or qualification.

Your course will qualify and certify you in each of the following areas:

  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)
  • First Aid
